Little NinjasThe LITTLE NINJAS program for 4 and 5 year olds:

The LITTLE NINJAS curriculum teaches martial arts techniques at a pace appropriate to younger students in a way that is designed to maximize the potential of 4-5 year olds. Our program uses fun activities and positive reinforcement to help your child learn skills necessary for success at home, in school, and on the playground.

One of the most important ways that we foster self-confidence, self-discipline, and the positive attitude that will enable your child to succeed is to help them develop a Habit of Success through activities which center on focus, teamwork, control, balance, memory, discipline, fitness, and coordination skills.

During interactive "huddle discussions" we will help your child develop tools they can use to avoid difficulties and handle age appropriate problems. Safety is the first line of self-defense. Huddle discussion topics will include first aid, health, home safety, fire safety, traffic safety, and stranger awareness.

We knew our daughter was behind in her gross and fine motor skills and was slightly overweight; we just didn't see her succeeding. Since our daughter started karate 8 months ago she has more self-discipline, her listening skills have improved, her shyness is disappearing and she is becoming more of a leader, and physically she's improving. Her lead instructor has made these things possible because he has reinforced a "never give up" attitude. I am a Milwaukee Public School teacher and I greatly admire her lead instructor's teaching style because it caters to the whole child. Black Belt Leadership Academy is more than we ever expected and has been a positive experience for our whole family. It caters not only to the physical being, but also teaches children self-control, leadership, focus, and gives them the skills needed to succeed in life.

Basic The BASIC program for 6 year olds and older:

The BASIC program uses martial arts training to help children, teens, and adults alike develop fitness and endurance, self-confidence and self-discipline, as well as self-defense skills. Our program combines the great tradition of martial arts with its emphasis on discipline, respect, physical and mental mastery with more recent knowledge about learning styles and the benefits of a positive "habit of success."

Younger students will participate in interactive "huddle discussions" about attitude, confidence, and good habits as well as safety issues such as stranger awareness, boundary setting, and conflict avoidance. Teens and adults will focus on fitness and practical self-defense as they develop a karate skill set.

From the dedicated instruction given by Mr. Weinberg and his assistant instructors, Africa has gained some competency in her karate ability. More importantly, we have noticed an increase in her confidence, leadership ability and discipline. Africa went from crying on her first day to demonstrating her Karate forms in front of over 200 people during the 2006 Wisconsin Coed Beauty Pageant. We would recommend the Black Belt Leadership Academy to anyone interested in investing into a child's future. The returns are so much more than just blocks, kicks and punches.

The Pippin Family

The BLACK BELT TEAM program:
Our children have exceeded our expectations in the growth of their Martial Arts skills and in learning techniques for safety and stranger awareness. They enjoy your classes because you understand how children learn, and they know you expect the very best from them. Most importantly, you and your staff have shown them how commitment and respect are a natural part of each session they attend. Black Belt Leadership Academy instills values that help them deal with their day-to-day activities in a positive, productive way. Thanks again for all you do.

The Babcock Family

When students join the Black Belt Team, they make a commitment to the goal of Black Belt Leadership. Black Belt Team training includes a more challenging and extensive curriculum, weapons training, point sparring, advanced self-defense and a variety of additional activities and seminars.

Younger students participate in interactive "huddle discussions" about leadership, goal setting, commitment, confidence, responsibility, and integrity. Teens and adults continue to develop endurance and fitness, self-defense skills, and learn more complex martial arts combinations. All students are inspired to reach for a higher standard of excellence and to become positive examples for others.

I value karate training because I would be doing nothing else to keep myself in physical condition. Karate training has benefited me outside the academy by letting me know [that] no matter what I'm doing, if I don't give something my all I'm only cheating myself. The best thing about the program is I'm always being challenged. I love a challenge.

Masters Team Program

The Masters Team Program provides training necessary to earn 2nd a Degree Black Belt and beyond.

Earning a Black Belt is not an end, but a beginning – an opportunity to approach all you do as a Black Belt leader, and to take on new challenges. One of the most exciting opportunities for growth for Black Belt Leadership Academy Black Belt Leaders is the Masters Team Program. The program includes exciting approaches to both new and traditional material, while retaining the Black Belt Leadership Academy focus on confidence, discipline, respect, and perseverance.

Since Tyler has been coming to Black Belt Leadership Academy he is not as shy anymore. He is a lot more confident in everything he does. And his grades in school are better. Keep up the great work. Thank you.

KobudoOkinawan Kobudo

Okinawan Kobudo uses the traditional weapons that were developed from farming and fishing tools in Okinawa, Japan. They include the Bo (staff), Sai, Tonfa, and Nunchakus. Kobudo is both a highly focused and exciting program in its own right that teaches skills and discipline through weapons training, and a great complement to karate training. It is open, therefore, to karate students and to those without any martial arts training.

The program is sanctioned by the Okinawan Kobudo Federation. Classes are taught by Sensei Paul Harris, recent Gold and Silver medalist at the World Pankration Tournament in Portugal, with assistance by Sensei Weinberg and other instructors from the Green Bay area.

Speciality Teams:

Competition Team: Students who wish to compete at tournaments receive extra help learning tournament etiquette, polishing their forms and sparring technique, and organizing teams.

Demonstration Team: Students who participate in demonstrations at places such as Summerfest, Mayfair Mall, and tournament sites have the opportunity to become members of the Demonstration Team.

Academic Achievement Team: Students who do well at school receive recognition through patches and special field trips.
